During my rest days I usually spend my day with my family and watch new movies over the internet. February 6, 2012, Monday, it was a gloomy day to start with but rather normal.
I woke up at around 5:00 in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and opened my laptop to check some emails. After a few minutes I found myself watching Happy Feet 2, my wife kept on bugging me to watch this movie for weeks and since I got nothing else to do might as well give it a try, at 8:00 my little guy woke up and we have to get him ready for his bath.
Around 11:50 in the morning, I was working on something online when suddenly our room has shaken and it looks like we were having an earthquake. After realizing that it is indeed an earthquake, I immediately grabbed my wife from the bed and ran outside the house carrying my son. Everybody else in the neighborhood noticed it and had gone out from their houses.
It lasted for about 30 seconds and it was quite strong that it measured 6.9 magnitude. After a few minutes, we head back to our room thinking that that was the end of it, but another earthquake just struck so we decided to stay outside for a little while.
When everything calmed down and we were already in our room we suddenly heard people screaming outside shouting that there is a tsunami coming. Everybody in the house got alarmed so we went upstairs and stayed at the terrace watching people screaming and crying carrying their belongings and heading to the mountains.
Its definitely a crazy experience especially after knowing that the tsunami thing is just a hoax. Apparently Cebu is surrounded by islands so there is no chance that a tsunami will hit Cebu area.
But the whole fiasco was not at all funny, it scared the hell out of me!
Here are some pictures that I got from the internet.

I want to welcome everyone to my personal blog. Yipey! Okay first of all I want to thank you for visiting my page. And since you are one of the first few people who have visited this blog, I have something for you guys... a little treat coming from me. But wait, you have to read everything first so that you will know what my special gift is. I have placed a secret code at the end of this post and I want you to put them together for you to know how to claim your price. Hmmm sounds fun right? Lets get started...
This is my very first post and I am very happy that after such a long wait, I have finally got the chance and the time to create my very own page. This is my first time writing something over the internet so I'm really delighted about this and quite anxious at the same time. So my name is Brad and I'm 22. I am married to Moongoddess (screen name) who just gave birth to our beautiful little guy and we named him Alekzandr Luis Iñigo. Quite a long name eh? Well we wanted to have a name that's "not-so-common" so there it is, a "not-so-common" name. Now Iñigo is exactly 1 month, 3 weeks and 3 days and he will be on his 2nd month this February 11.
Time pass by really quick, I still remember the time when I was waiting for the doctor to say "baby out! baby out!", that was way back when my wife, Moongoddess, is in the delivery room @ Cebu Doctors Hospital trying to deliver my 6.11 pounds bambino. I should say that moms are amazing! It was a 7-hour labor and my wife is quite a fighter. Imagine a large thing coming out of your butt! Whoa! that's really painful. So hands down to all moms out there.
Being a new father is a pretty exciting experience. There's a lot of things you need to learn and you have a lot of sleepless nights indeed. I work on shifting schedules, sometimes I get home really tired from work and the feeling that you just want to lay down to your bed and sleep but just like what most parents would say, seeing your child means a lot, it'll take all of your stress and will always make your heart filled with gladness. As I'm writing this post, I'm missing my baby. I'm at work and I just can't wait to go home.
I think that's about it for now. I have included some pictures of me and my family here. Thanks again for dropping by.
